If this is the first time applying using our on-line job application, you will need an email address in order to create an account. Resumes may not be submitted in lieu of the city's application. It is important that your application show all periods of employment, education, military service or training that is relevant to the position for which you are applying. You may attach your resume to the application; however, you must include your employment history on the on-line application or your application will be considered incomplete. Applications are accepted only when applying for an open position.

Police officer applicants must agree to the Uniform and Appearance Policy (PDF). Supporting documents can be attached to your profile and include all required documents. Applications may be rejected if incomplete.

Firefighter applicants must have a valid FireTEAM and CPAT through the National Testing Network (NTN) within 12 months. Once the scores are received by the Ocoee Fire Department, applicants will be contacted by invitation only to complete an online City of Ocoee application. The City of Ocoee reserves the right to fill positions prior to the closing date and to close the position prior to the initially posted closing date. Applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment will be subject to a background check, driving record review, physical and drug screen. Candidates selected for law enforcement and certain other positions will require additional screenings.

Veteran's Preference

Veteran's preference is extended per State Statute upon initial hiring and you must complete the Veteran's Preference form and attach along with your supporting documentation (DD214 or VA Letter of Disability). If you do not attach the required documentation, your request for preference will not be considered. If you do not have the required documents at the time you are completing the application, you can save the information you entered and attach the required documents at a later time.
