Ocoee has a 150-year-old tradition as a place where Central Floridians can grow successful businesses and cultivate rich, abundant lives. Since 1995, our community has grown from 18,000 residents to over 38,000 in population to become the third largest city in Orange County. We have enough land available to expand to over 75,000 residents, and we encourage quality growth with low fees and expedited permitting. Please take a few moments to learn more about our community and see why it is a great place in which to locate within the Orlando Metro Area.
Ocoee voters approve a citywide job-creation-tax abatement referendum in January 2012. The Program authorizes the city to grant qualifying businesses a temporary city property tax exemption of up to 100% for up to 10 years. Read the Tax abatement program (PDF) information sheet.
The State of Florida provides financial incentives for qualified businesses of all sizes. Florida offers a cost-effective alternative to other competitive high-tech states which means land, labor, and capital are more affordable in Florida than some other states.
