The City of Ocoee will present its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 31 at the Jim Beech Recreation Center, 1820 A.D. Mims Road.
The “egg-citement” begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. More than ten thousand candy-filled eggs will decorate the lawn as hundreds of children scurry to collect the treats. Admission is free.
In addition to the Easter Egg hunt, children ages 12 and younger will enjoy a variety of fun activities from 10 a.m. to noon. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos and there will be prizes, inflatables and face painting. Snacks will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the West Orange Christian Service Center.
In conjunction with the event, an Easter Coloring Contest is being held for children ages 12 and younger. The contest, sponsored by the City of Ocoee’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, encourages children to have fun and be creative. Coloring sheets may be picked up at the Jim Beech Recreation Center or downloaded at http://www.ocoee.org/185/Special-Events . The deadline to submit coloring sheets is Monday, March 26 at 9 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in each age category.
